Do you remember the excitement of Christmas as a child? Looking at all the presents under the tree, and wondering what possible treasures lie within? As we have grown older, our excitement may have faded a bit, but I still try to recapture that feeling whenever possible. Yesterday I came home from work, and found that my wife had placed her wrapped presents under the tree. I suddenly found myself back in my childhood, anxiously probing and prodding these mystery packages, wondering what could possibly be inside. Did she get me what I was hoping for? The one thing I definitely have wanted was a new floor lamp to sit by my recliner. The lighting there is poor and it is very hard to read in that, my favorite chair. Did she get one? Impossible to tell. I’ll just have to endure the suspense until that magical day!

I do believe that you got what you wanted, lol.
im with vickinat not what you wanted.other than me naked under the tree.he,he,he. unless ur a woman admin he,he,he.sorry just messin with you.

Looks like a floor lamp to me -- although you may find use for that shade on new years eve I am sure ............ lol
I would also say you probably got some kind of clothing -- maybe a warm coat for this cold winter weather we all seem to be getting. Oh and who knows maybe a box inside a box inside a box inside a box with a very little computer game inside of the last box ............. hmmmmmmmmmmmm
As for me -- those fond memories of seeing presents under the tree and taking a table knife to the edge of the package and opening it up to see what was inside ....... what fun !!! (I had older brothers who always tricked me into doing the dirty work since no names were ever placed on the packages until Christmas eve.)
Admin, DUHHHHH do ya really think you will receive your floor lamp?.
Christmas is so enjoyable and brings back so many fond memories. I am wishing for a airline ticket to Florida, I have thrown out enough hints. So maybe..........
Dear Santa!!!!!!!!, I've been good....... really I have........
Tuffy Good???????
You won't share the rum balls so that's like saying Jayne has stayed out of the woodshed all year long ............. lol
Why go to florida this year -- they are going to get a snow storm has soon as you set foot on the ground there you know -- santa told me he made arrangements with mother nature for that.

Pooh, Going to Florida in May, to meet with Admin and others, It won't be snowing in May, Grab a flight to Tampa/ Sarasota and come join us, The more the merrier, And Don't believe everything Mother Nature say's. LOL
oh I would but I think I promised my uncle I would visit him next spring .......... now how long do you think I can get away with staying up there for a couple of weeks. last time I went driller ate at sonic almost every day ...........
[attachment=259] Admin ask about what's under the tree this year... well here is one of my trees in my living room...and I have the best gift of all under it...my grand daughter who has her eyes closed. As a child, I believe we all felt as admin put it so elegantly but I have noticed as I grow older, what is under the tree is more about not being able to wait to see my grand kids faces when they see what is under grandma's tree.
What is everyone doing for Christmas this year. What kind of decorations have went up? What kind of a meal are you planning? Who is going to be with family? What do you hope to receive for Christmas and so forth.
In terms of decorations, I did very little this year, but some did get done. I am some silk flower arrangements, four to be exact. We put up two trees one in the Living Room and one in the Dinning Room. The one in living room is in the picture of above. My grandkids decorated it. It is 8' tall and a real fur. I usually like to have one tree that is real so that we can have the scents from the tree in the house. This tree has pink/rose/silver colors on it with angels, porcelain small dolls and so forth.
The second one is only 6' tall and it is a artificial all White tree. It is decorated with all santa tradition and is completely red/gold/white. The ribbon this year is a bit small for the top of the tree but it worked all the same.
Then I made a couple village scenes. I am still working on the large one. It covers a 6' and 4' table so it has taken me some time, but I really didn't work to hard on it, or it would be done by now... then I put more of the same inside a curior cabinet.
We are not having a traditional meal for Christmas. We are cooking all spanish. Brandi is coming and we re doing it tomorrow and then will freeze and take out on Monday. For us, due to the kids working schedules and when we can have Sabrina, we are having Christmas at my house on Monday. So that is just two days away.
As far as what I want for Christmas, I want to be with my family and all my grand kids. One of course is in Oregon for which makes me very sad, but they will be with us in spirit as we will be with them in spirit.
Admin...thanks for starting this thread... love Red
We didn't put up a tree as the kids are not going to drive and come home in this bad weather. We will be going to my sisters on Saturday for our Christmas. Presents are wraped and sitting in dinning room. Checked with my sister today to find out what she want me to fix and she said nothing just come, so will take a pie and some cookies and just enjoy the day.
