It a cold day here this Sun the very last day of November....My christmas shopping is done except for a couple of checks I need to send out and my christmas cards... will all of you resend me snail mail addys so I can redo my address book? I lost mine somewhere between here and Pa. and back have started a new one but missing so many addys and phone numbers.....rest assured I wont give to to anyone....Admin your addy also please.....thanks all so many new family members this year....we are so blessed to have this place.....Merry Christmas

Jayne, Please don't send a card my way, it is just to expensive to send everyone I know cards, I stoped sending them a couple of years ago and everyone understands. I have to wait for my SS check to start my shoping. Next week. You are lucky to be able to have yours done early. I only have one income and that is me.......
You mean it's almost Christmas? Well it looks as if I'll have to go shopping no matter how much I hate it. I got Jason, my oldest sons name this year so that will be easy, A TOOL OF SOME KIND. I also want to thank Admin, this site has been my saving grace. I have met such good friends that I don't know what I would do without this site. I'm praying for snow.........it has been raining and almost all of the snow is melted, not easy to see those deer when it's like this. Venison stew is on for tonights supper while the STEELERS are playing. God I love hunting season with all of my good friends in at camp.
Good Evening all.... today I am very thankful for everyone and especially my family and all of you. There is so much happening right now that I am sort of feeling in a daze. My cousin who is a year older than me died last week, and I just found out. She and I were buds when we were little. She is my mother's oldest brother youngest daughter.... we spent every summer together, consequently my head is in the clouds today reminisencing and wondering where all the time has gone. She was only 53 years old...until I left Oregon we were together all the time, and I guess I got to busy in my life and profession and just left them all behind.... I am feeling kind of guilty today, but as I should...no one even called me to tell me she was sick ..and she is gone. wow..what a surprise. Then my uncle is in the hospital, and Del has a whole series of testing he is undergoing starting Tuesday... through Friday... I have appointments in the morning so we will be at the VA everyday this week it looks like.
In terms of Christmas, except for the items I am making for a few people, I am completely done. I did it all on line watching for the sales and coupons. I didn't pay any shipping which always makes me happy. I even learned how to find all kinds of coupons on line for the various stores. It was cool getting another $10.00 or $5.00 off after the 15% sales etc. Disney has a lot of coupons on line but not advertised at their site, and so did Macy's. I found a few for Sears and one for JC penny. I didn't buy anything for Del, but we have not done this in several years...we spend on the kids and our grand kids, parents, and friends. I got it done so that as of the 10th I want to completely concentrate on the secret santa program... find those good deals and get the most for our IW's using your money to the max. It worked well last year, so I hope to do it better this year in terms of the buying... anyway.. I am thankful for all of you...and thankful for this site...admin you do a very good job here and for each of us, I am not sure what I would have done except for this site and all the friends and family I have found here...you are all the best..love Red
Then guess what I did, I cut a 2 " cut in my forefinger..it is hanging from the bone.. I cleaned it, steri tapped it up tight, and then wrapped it ..so I can barely type here... However, there is always a blessing in everything...I didn't feel a thing...the blessing of having numbness related to having MS I guess..just saw the red stuff getting all over my counter.... .. We are really cutting back on Christmas this year, spending wise that is. We used to get a gift for all the kids in the family but each year, there are 1 or 2 new ones added. That is great, but it's too expensive to buy for all of them. So this year we decided to have the kids draw names; and then each family take care of their immediate family. I'm so glad, because the kids are bombarded with gifts and don't even appreciate them. We think that if each child has "one" gift to open on Christmas Eve that will have a much better impact on what Christmas is all about. The "gift of giving" and the "gift of receiving". God gave us His son Jesus, and if we receive the gift, we become brothers and sisters in the family of God.
One thing we haven't been able to do since I've been injured is put up a Christmas tree. Last year, I bought a "fake" tree after Christmas and we just put it up today. So easy, and it is the prettiest tree we have ever had. I am burning a pine scented candle for the full affect.
I don't send cards, except to those who have provided some sort of service to me during the year; like doctors, attorney, the people who provided meals during both my surgeries this year, lawn care guy, postman, hairdresser, and maybe a few others.

We had a blue norther blow through today, so the weather was perfect to get a little Christmas shopping done. I don't spend a lot, as I don't have a lot to spend.
I got Randy a box set of Christmas carols, as he just lost his tower to a fried CP and that is where he had all of his stored at. His big gift I can't buy till the week before Christmas as I have to find a place to hide it. I also bought a dear friend a memory card for the camera that her daughter gave her, when the daughter bought a new one on Black Friday ( of course, I will have to teach her how to use the camera, as well as how to move the pics from the camera to her computer).
Devon and Bri are getting a nice set of pots, pans, bakeware and cooking utensils.. and Devon will get a DVD ( I just wrote off $70 that he owes me) and I have several crocheted gifts that I did for Bri over the summer. Nathan wants an air gun, but that is something that I will have to discuss with the ex, as I remember he once was vehemently opposed to any kind of toy weapons being brought into the house.
Now, the grandbabies will be getting a bit more.. each will get a DVD, a Dr Seuss book, a new outfit and a $25 gift card from wally world. I will also be playing Santa somewhat and provide their stockings and a little bit of candy to go into them.
As for Randy's side, the siblings each buy for mom and dad, as well as the neices and nephews.. but not for each other most of the time. Randy's mom goes all out buying for all the kids as well as significant others..and her grandchildren and greats. She also plays Santa and fixes up stockings for all of us. She generally starts shopping for the next year, no later than January 15th of the following year. We also buy something for Randy's remaining grandmother.
Red, did you get my pm about what I was donating for Secret Santa?? As soon as my check comes in, I will be sending you a check for that.
Jayne, will pm you my addy for a card, but would prefer to wait and send you Bri's so that you could send her one instead. She and Chad just went through a pretty nasty breakup..and I think a card from you would help to cheer her up. She just got a new place today, so will be getting her addy tomorrow.
I too would like it if y'all would send me your addy's. Many of you have said it isn't necessary, but sending them is one of the few things that will cheer me up this time of year.. I am generally in a deep depression this time of year (am fighting it hard this year..especially since I can't get my anti's right now) for personal reasons I won't put out on the forum right now.

Red...I am so sorry to here of the illness and death in your's and Dell's family. With Dell not being well you must be beside yourself.. Extra prayers for both of you are going up.
