Hi all...I thought I would open a discussion about what we are all planning for our thanksgiving holiday. Maybe even discuss our plans for Christmas and New Years.
For our family, we are not having our celebration on Thursday the Official Thanksgiving. Daniel my youngest daughters husband is a nurse and he is working on that day, our son and his finance are going to her family's home on thanksgiving...so we have all decided to have it on Friday, the day after. The grands are staying at our house (except the baby Dominic) on Thrusday night. Del and I are doing most of the cooking so the girls want to help me make some pies. I hope I can do it, have not done it in a few years due to illness. We will make some cookies also. Our family always makes snickerdoodles on Thanksgiving. Brandi is going shopping early Friday morning and then she, Dan and Dominic will arrive at my house around 1 pm. Christopher and Sophie are coming around 3 pm since Sophie has to work 1/2 a day at her job. We are going to have dinner around 4 pm and then dessert and coffee around 8 pm. Typically we all play games such as Rook, Spades etc. This year however, I will have them all fighting (play fighting) over playing chess or checkers on a wonderfully made checker board that Del recieved recently from the dearest of friends. Brandi and Dawn my oldest usually play scrabble, but since Dawn is in Oregon Brandi will have to satisfy herself with me. I can't spell worth anything, never could...all my college never left a dent in that problem...but Brandi is very good with words, writing, and spelling so she will always win, but that is ok, I never play because I want to win, only want to play. The kids and I usually play yahtzee... especially the disney one that they all can play well and understand...it is more of my cup of tea when it comes to games anyway.
Well that is a picture of our thanksgiving. What does everyone else have planned. My prayer is that everyone on this board will have a wonderful day with family and be pain free and your hearts will be full of happiness and contentment. God bless you all... please have a great time preparing and if you are traveling, a very safe and joyous trip. Love you all.... my heart will be with you where ever you are... Red
