Vickie Arrived Here Safe and Sound around 6:30p.m. this Evening, and She is Very Comfortable. We had Homemade Vegetable Soup with Biscuits for Dinner, and Apple Pie and Ice Cream for Dessert! I Believe She will be Leaving for California Tomorrow, so if at All Possible let's keep Her on Our Prayer List for a Safe Trip! I have to Say She's a Pretty Tough Girl making this Trip Alone, but She seems to have All in Order!! Have a Great Evening Everyone, and I Hope Your Pain is Minimal!!Smile
Glad you all had a great time!
Thank you Still In Limbo for keeping us posted.

I do worry about her making this trip by herself.
Thanks Limbo for the update. She promised to keep in touch on her journey. Will be praying for her safety.

CAP
Hi all,
Limbo and his wife were very sweet, just like Red and her hubby, and waited till I arrived to have dinner. Both families are great at cooking, lol. Little Lucy was so cute, she is full grown now, compared to the castle. I will do by best at keeping in touch, either by posting when I have computer access or by phoning. Thank y'all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm still getting used to the ways of my GPS system, seems like when I encounter a detour or temporary road, it loses it's direction, lol. Yesterday it had me get off of an exit, make a turn, then told me to do a U-turn and I did, it took me back onto the same highway that I exited from and had to go 20 more exits and get off again. AARRGGHH, I swear it took me on every road that had construction and down to 1 lane, but it got me where I needed to be. It is much better than trying to keep looking at a map (safer too)! I have gotten used to it talking me thru the turns and exits. Hopefully it'll do me right, if not I have plenty of maps, and Atlas and the Trip-Tic from AAA.

Y'all have a good day. It is raining and nasty again this morning so I'm not in a big hurry to start out again. I'm still drinking my coffee.

Love Vickie
The Weather is not so Good Here, so I told Vickie that I thought it would be Best if She Spent another Evening, and after Tempting Her with Left Over Vegetable Soup, (Ellen made it, My God is it Good)Tongue She is going to be Here another Night. So don't Worry about Her being on the Road, She's Fine Here!!Smile
well done my friend well done...
still you are darling !!! i bet you are a big teddy bear just like skeeter
Limbo has also helped me determine a better route, instead of 80, I'm gonna use 70.
Vickie- if you are not going to go on 80 drop down and go on 40. It is a straight shot all the way to Ca. it comes out at Bakerfield and then you can pick up 5 and go north. It dosen't go thur the mountain so there is less chance of snow. 70 goes thur Colo. and there is already snow in the mountains. You could get stuck in the pass out side of Denver. 40 is a good road, I drove it back from Cal and made the trip home in 2 1/2 days. Also there is some nice places to stop and the indian reservations have some nice shops to stop at.
