Oh Vickie doesn't that sound lovely. Just when the mess of snow, sleet and ice begins here

. I'm sorry I didn't realize you were still with Limbo and his family. Have a great time and keep safe.
CAP
Thanks Cappy, they did have snow in the mountains by my daughter last week, but nothing lasting. The winters in her area(Northern Ca.) are much the same as here, snow, ice and a mess. At least my apartment is only a street away from her home, I can walk there if I want, lol.
Vickie- Becareful going west. Hopefully the weather will not turn bad on you. Please keep your driving to day light time, and get off the highway by dark.
RNVic,
I plan to only drive daylight because of my vision problems at night. Due to the weather today being windy and rainy, I'm staying tonight at Limbo's then leaving tomorrow morning. I found out Sat. how badly my van does in the rainy/windy conditions with it being fully loaded with stuff, much differant than dry conditions. It would sway when the wind hit and hydroplane with all the water on the road. I have decided (with Limbo's guidance) to take rt 70 instead of 80,less chance of snow/ice problems. Thanks for your concern.
Love
Vickie
Its 37 and cooling down almost all the snow melted today.

Sorry missed your post. Thats about 130 miles south of me.
Well we had a awful amount of heavy downpours in NH on Sat and last night/today. It is calling for about 16 inches of snow in NH tonight from what I saw on the news. I caught a glance at it and hope they are wrong.
We just had to repair our bridge going up to our house as it was washed away to a point not even a car could ride by. After a couple thousand dollars of gravel being dumped to repair it, I hope we do not need to send a plow to do the driveway yet and push it all up. At least let it get frozen to the ground before we lose it all plowing.
When I woke up at 4am this morning, I could smell snow in the air. I thought I saw a few flakes, but it was light rain. It is almost time for our first snowfall.
Mild 54 degrees here right now. Our low last night was 37, and the high was 65. But that to is to change. Our nights aren't supposed to go below 40 and the days will be in the upper 70's to low 80's by this weekend. Will be time to turn the AC back on or if it is nice like last weekend...just open all the windows and let the breezes cool us.
How I was wishing that I was up to doing yard work... I'd of been out behind the mower on Saturday. We still need to mow one last time before getting hit by a hard freeze, but the mower is at the other house and I can't lift it into the car by myself. Guess the BF will have to stop by one day after work this week and pick it up.
