Last weekend, I got a call from my youngest son back in Michigan. After we chit chatted for a bit, the subject of his coming here for his Christmas break came up. Broached by me in hopes that I would have some money come in before then so I could pay for his ticket.

Well the little twit.. happens to be 14 now and will be 15 just before Christmas giggled and said that was why he was calling too. Seems that my first ex is in the giving mood this year, and if I wanted to have Nathan here, he would be willing to pay for the round trip ticket, as long as we could get a non-stop flight to the cheapest airport... OK City or DFW, out of O'hare, as this will would be Nathan's first time flying alone. Now, do you think that I was dumb enough to turn down an offer like that???

Talked to the ex tonight..and the itenerary has come in. Nate will be arriving in OK City the afternoon of the 20th, and returning home on the evening of the 4th of January..compliments of my ex. I will have him his entire Christmas break..and couldn't be happier. Now I know that the time will just start to creep by and the next 2 months is going to seem like an eternity.

Going to get in touch with my youngest daughter now and see if I help her with tickets, if she would want to come out for part of that time. Would be great if she could. Just wish my oldest boy and his three babies could join us.. but I know that is impossible as he just applied for a new job with the TSA in Detroit and took his vacation the earlier part of the month. Oh well..one of these years..we will all be together again at the holidays. It's been 11 years since the last time I had all three at the same time for Christmas. Now that I think about it.. my youngest will be the same age his older brother was the last time that we all shared the holiday.

Sweet Dreams y'all... I am going to go and eat supper.. I know.. it's almost time for breakfast ~LOL~ but it's been a strange day here. Then it's off to bed, as nothing going on but grocery shopping later today. Tuesday I see my PM for what could be the last time.. and Wednesday it's off to DFW to see my work comp Dr and see what he is going to do with me now that I no longer have a job to go back to.

Night y'all

Oh Angel I am so happy for you. Did you sleep? Or was it impossible. I find it hard to sleep with worries on my mind and the same with excitement. Merry Christmas to you and yours , early.

This is what I like most about the holidays, families getting together.
Great news UA I hope the time flies between now and then for you
Very Happy for you undercover. I come from a small family in which we all live in the same city. So I guess we must be fortunate to live so close. Hope you have a awsome time.
UA this is wonderful news. I am anxious for the time to fly for you. Having your kids around no matter how old they are is the best. My kids make my holiday. Without them around a dinner table for Christmas dinner, I would not make a dinner... you are going to have the most wonderful christmas ever....love Red
I am so happy for you Angel!!! What an awesome gift!!!
That's great Angel, I'm so happy for you. This year will be the first time that I will be with my daughter, son-in law and grandbabies. The last time she and I were together for the holidays was 2003, the year before she graduated. I did fly out after Christmas in Jan 06 and seen my first grandbaby when he was 6 months old.

I can imagine your excitement, since I too can't wait till my trip is over and I'm around them all the time. This year I will actually decorate for Christmas, since it won't be just me. I now have a reason.

Enjoy your time with your son.
Love
