OK I know some of you guys have got to have heard about Sarah Palins' NEW WARDROBE , 150,000.00 worth. MY GOD what are they trying to say, I heard about it on the view and was beside my self.
Now I know the Republican Party say it is not taxpapers money,
but I can't imagine that the people that donated wanted it to go
to that! WHY CANT SHE SHOP LIKE A NORMAL PERSON, Her daughter had a 790.00 purse from some ritzy well known place, I can't remember, and that cute little baby was dressed to the hilt from some expensive baby store, now the store says everyone is calling for the same thing.

Now would'nt you think with the economy in the position it is in, people losing their jobs left and right every day, unemployment
figures reaching outrageous numbers, homes being foreclosed
so much its outrageous. And this is the Republican's Party message to the United States.

If this is how they spend their donated money what the heck do you think they will do with our taxpayers money.

I so respect Mrs. Obama, she spent 150.00 on her dress to the view. Even admitted she checks budget racks, and I believe she said they was a time she sewed her clothes for her family.

Oh yes and when Mrs Palin was questioned about it, she said they
(the clothes) would be donated to charity. Well thats no answer, It should never have been spent to begin with.

The NERVE of the Republican Party!
jazzi...welcome to the forum. I forgot to do that in the last post. This is a tough subject right now, so my only comment is to each their own.... I don't believe it was a way to brighten the hearts of Americans but it was what she wanted or the party wanted for her. Love Red
Get real. Do you think she really did the shopping? Someone on the campaign staff went and got her a bunch of clothes for a long and grueling campaign. Yes, it is a ridiculous amount of money. So is $400 for Bill Clintons or John Edwards haircuts. Who cares?

Actually, Governor Palins favorite store is a consignment store in Anchorage called "Out of the Closet". She buys second hand clothes (when not running to be the #2 person on the Presidential ticket).

Stop watching the View. It will pollute your mind with useless and inaccurate crap. Watch a side by side video showing how they treated Barack Obama and John Mccain on their respective visits. Night and day. Totally biased. Not even a pretense of fairness.
Jazzi, why is Obama spending millions on tv ads that could feed and house thousands...its an election they spend money Obama has spent more than McCain so what......its what they do in an election year find ugly things about the other side then say it without checking it out....Like your owning slaves remark.....I dont think anyone in my family did but I cant be for sure... its real hard in america to be Irish and Indian and not to have felt some issues for those that prey on others.......I will vote for McCain and I think Palins got Moxie I like her, stands to reason Alaskas clothing needs would be different than a campain trail and the clothes are donated for a tax right off.....again its politics I doubt anyone on the view shops at wal mart but has a dem agenda so whatever.... again this topic is verboten......it causes temper tantrums and name calling....much like snack time in pre school

Oh man, I wish I'd been here in time to catch that one! Must have been a doozy..... Tongue

Non Politics;

Why donate the clothes, as the cost to buy was so high, I would think returning them, or auctioning them off to return some of the funds used would have been a much better choice then to simply say donated them.
Obviously, McCain hasn't used any of his money to fix his nasty teeth! & 780 would cover the cost of a crown.

I'll be glad when this election thing is all over. I'm so sick of it!
