I am a TX eyecare professional and am considering accepting workman's comp as I make a move to provide my services in an independent private practice setting. I am not sure how many claims are filed for vision related anomalies? Would it be worth my time to apply? What is the paperwork like? How do I go about the credentialing process? How many patients may I expect as a result of this move? All comments are appreciated.
I do not have a lot of information about Texas provider requirements. We have a forum user named Dallas who has extensive WC Insurance experience in Texas. Hopefully she will see your post and weigh in.
