AMEN WINK AMEN....There is more than one question here...Do we like the war...Hell no no one in their right mind likes war...Is it worth it yes it is....Did my daughter like handing me her 8 week old baby and going? hell no ....was it worth it well she went again and AGAIN AND AGAIN is it worth it she says it is......My Husband went in instead of retiring it put him retiring a year later did we like it hell no ....Was it worth it....hell yes......so its not one question here it is several....Are you and your family ready to fight to help someone else or do you wanna sit and wait for them to come get you?Me and mine we fight to protect ourselves and you and anyone else that needs someone bigger to stand for them....A loaded shotgun stays within reach here do we wanna use it on someone hell no but would we to protect us you bet your (Jayne's lame attempt to bypass the Bad Word Filter)...and we would use it to protect even those of you that cant or wont stand up for yourselves......One man started this war.....But he wasnt an american and as much as we americans love to find a scapegoat Bush wasnt by hisself going to war....But very few are standing and saying they were for it they are acting like crayfish and backing into a hole and giving a 100 excuses on why they voted what they did leaving a few honorable men to stand and say I am responsiable for this.....the crayfish need to be on trotlines.....They cant be trusted

Uh, actually, that IS the constitution. The President, as Commander in Chief, can send troops into battle without congressional approval. Only Congress can declare war, and must fund continuing efforts, which, by the way, they have done.

I have always been amazed at the injured vets who return to this country. With very few exceptions their message, despite great personal loss, is essentially what this vet said on his video. And to the person, each one seems to want to GO BACK, to be there and support their buddies. This really is the next great generation. We should be proud to produce such fine people.

I was in Indiana one Sunday, and a group of people were bashing Bush, and wanting the Men home from war. I walked up to them and asked, how can you people sit here and bash Bush, when it was your very State that helped to Vote him in. Well, even though they didn't answer me, and continued on with what they were doing, I made my point. I may have my opinions and all, and I vote. I feel that anyone that votes has a right to speak freely about any election then. I can't sit on a corner and bash the President in a public place. But I may now and then say something here and there, but still he is the President. The people Voted, and that is what we must deal with. It isn't that hard to take and understand.
Freedom isn't cheap, terrorism is cheap. Also when it's supported and has Funds to operate. When they live among us, they need to found, and removed.
Medicaid in Illinois, mostly in the Bigger cities though is widely abused. But, because of it, people are now being put on a waiting list for much needed surgeries now, due to the past abuse. State Aide, like in Link Cards for food, is abused also in the bigger cities. We had programs set in place to help those able to work, to work, but they wouldn't suffer neither and some Aide still will continue till they got on their feet. It was laugh at also, and never seen it work.
The Government just took over 2 large Corporations, Many think their just candy makers, what many don't understand is, these 2 hold about 50% of the Mortgages here in the USA. If they fold, or now if the Gov fails with them, we will be in a world of hurting.
The old saying goes, if you don't like it here, speak up, and remember, the USA doesn't force people to live here neither.
Wow wink thank you for the link! That was awesome. I live near Ft Sill an army post and when I was working had the pleasure of speaking to many soldiers. Many returning from Iraq and many just before departing to Iraq, everyone of them support this war and believe we need to be there. I was amazed at the passion in there voices and the commitment to fighting for our great country! All ages from 18 to 50. I thanked each and every one that I had the pleasure to meet for going to war for me.
Unclebuck never felt attacked as I said at the end of my statement I have truly enjoyed reading all the comments whether I agreed with them or not. I believe in our american right of freedom of speech!

Now to Iraq as you say one person caused this war and to say Saddam H caused it is wrong as it was the Taliban who did the planes not Saddam the excuse was weapons of mass destruction right well to this day there are none where are they? and as for all the humane things we do there in Iraq there how about all the kids who are dying and oh my favorite Blackwater and the rest there it is a useless war one we must get out sure McCain is saying we must be there for 100 years if we have to oh really for what some corporation who wants oil.
As for the pres being able to wage war that is what we are in he has no right to without the backing of the house and senate and by the way who wil be paying for this war this 100's of billions of dollars that grow on trees? oh yes us the tax payers will be and for how long? are we not in debt?
As for the bail out of Fannie and Freddie really we should bail them out so bakers can get free handouts from us and again this money where is coming from do we have a endless amount see that is my point the point is the money we just give out every time this happens the dollar gets weaker and weaker you cannot just print money out of thin air.

So the Chinese lead is bad so why blame them only when American companies are making these toys and selling them here? oh yes they brought them here and put them in their stores for our kids,the Chinese did not sell them.

Ok so what gives us the right to put missals all around Russia? since i guess they are a threat again well do they have the right to put missals in Cuba? if no than I guess we should not put them near Russia. Why is it allot of you feel as though we as Americans can do what ever we want to? how can we tell others what is right and wrong when we cant even take care of ourselves here,we tell the people in other countries how they are doing things wrong yet look at us here.
There are growing numbers of vets not happy with this war our government is having a tough time finding soldiers why do you think we keep having to bring in our national guard and they have to stay longer and longer? and they have started to recruit people in other countries? because there are so many guys and gals who do not want to die for a war we do not need to be in any more man what did Iraq do? they where not even linked to the Taliban and where is the WMD's.
We have the right to disagree with our pres if he does wrong and he is along with his band of merry men and women oh if the war is so good and soldiers all like it than why did the pres fire all the generals who told him not to try to start a war with Iran? anyone who disagrees with him gets fired.So this is America those who want to have constant war and spending who knows where the money is coming from and those who just want a sane government for the people.

It is time for a breather. Not one person here has ever questioned your patriotism. This is simply an honest discussion of opinions. I disagree politically with some of the most important people in my life. It does not mean I don't love them and or believe they are good people. There are people who have disagreed with me in this thread. Doesn't mean I don't like them (quite the opposite!) It's a big world, and our differences often add a positive spice to life.
The Chinese lead comment was a JOKE. And We are putting missiles in Poland (near Russia) because they WANT them. They will be protection from Iranian missiles. Russia has an issue with that, but frankly Russia is probably a topic for a whole other thread....
This is not about you, and no one is attacking you. Lets take a breath and relax before this escalates into something we all will regret later.
