You Know I have been reading this post since it started and have found it to be really interesting listening to all of your opinions.I am not ashamed to say I was raised a democrat and have never voted otherwise,These days you just don't know what to think with all the promises and all the name calling , all I want is for our country to be back on track, after all this is America, land of the free,May God Bless Us All on whomever we as americans choose to be our next President And Vice- President. It is after all our choice to vote for our elected officials and can't really blame anyone but ourselves. just my opinion. thanks for letting me speak what I think, Halftrak
I forgot just wanted to say why couldn't this governor from Alaska be a Democrat, I really do kind of like her.She does say it like it is.Jayne if I turn Republican can I move in with you. LOL
If she were a Democrat she wouldn't be the VP candidate.
halftrac you come om down we will have a ball
I just stumbled across this - interesting (especially from my point of view).

From the Seattle Post Intelligencer: "Obama only talks good game on gender pay equity"

According to the article, Compensation figures for Obama's legislative staff reveal that Obama pays women just 83 cents for every dollar his men make.

On the other hand, "women in John McCain's office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes. In fact, all other things being equal, a typical female staffer could earn 21 cents more per dollar paid to her male counterpart -- while adding $10,726 to her annual income -- by leaving Barack Obama's office and going to work for John McCain."

Some of the disparity, the article notes, may be that of the top 5 advisers to Senator Obama, only one is a woman. Of the top five staff members to McCain, 3 are women.

Interesting, as the article notes, "In short, these statistics suggest that John McCain is more than fair with his female employees, while Barack Obama -- at the expense of the women who work for him -- quietly perpetuates the very same pay-equity divide that he loudly denounces. Of all people, the Democratic standard bearer should understand that equal pay begins at home."

And have you seen his "Presidential Seal"? Looks like the presidents seal, but with his own name, of course. They actually embroidered it on to the back of the lounge chair that is "his" on that plane. The refurbishing cost over $500,000.
The Flags on the tail of the plane had to be removed when the plane was officially used for Obamas campaign as it was a Regestered trademark of the airline. The numbers always stay with a plane from the time it is built and never assigned to any other plane, Just Like Brett Farve and number 4, LOL
I certainly understand trademark issues. Of course, it could have been replaced with a regular flag... Smile

Another interesting note. Today Obama launched an attack ad lambasting McCain for never learning to use a computer, and never even sending an email. Seems they should have done a little research. It seems "McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes."

Ooops. Would anyone here like to have someone poke fun of or capitalize on their disability?

OK. Admitting I can be rabid on the subject, I'll back away for a time. (Maybe) Smile
Hello everyone just thought i would add some things of course to be fair i will add about both donkeys and elephants:

to start Obamas thought to say Palin is the lipstick on McCains pig remark was out of bounds and I do not agree on it and about his lower wages for women I guess he has a deep down wish for Burkas too.

and for the other side Palin wont rule out war with Russia how nice of her to wish for WW III :

sky news is the sister to fox news in the UK.

and for news for us all on the fact we might be heading to another depression along with this thought I wonder what you call a government who owns everything or runs everything?:

http://prisonplanet.ca/

To answer the question since our government has seemed fit to take over Fanni and Freddie it seems we are living in a socialistic government soon to be communistic if our government keeps buying out companies and taking them over of course do not believe me look it up when a government takes over companies and runs them what is it called?

Again i do not like the donkey over the elephant but I will not drink the kool aid and think one party is better than the other or that one party is diffrent than the other as they are both paid and bought off and work for the CFR (council on foreign relations)

peace
