the insurance co. want me to go see their dr and my attorney told me to see my own dr but the ic won't pay the office visit the notice of the dispute said my injury is not work related.I'm young and my back hurt the ic drs never did a mri or x ray I have a lump in my lower back that hurts so bad and I saw a dr my attorney knew and she want to do a mri and physical to see whats going on She said I have tendernitis and some tight muscle so lets get tested. she took me off work tell my next app for 2 wks. will they pay me.
the only way there going to see if there is something wrong is to do a mri or x-rays.the nurse where i worker said oh its just a muscle ya rite guess that why im fused from S-1-L-4 just a muscle.i hope they do the mri just to be safe so more damage doesnt get done by horsing around.good luck
Yes, listen to hurt at work....you need MRI !
I also had a back strain (as IC called it) and it was a shoulder dislocation and tore up stuff inside. They try to underplay and undertreat injury to save IC money...NOT to necessarily help you!

I'm not Sure what Your Attorney is telling You to do, but in Most Cases, You Must See the w/c Dr. to Continue Your Weekly Payments, or to see if Your Case is going to be Approved if You are at the Beginning of Your Case! Now in Pa. where I'm from, if after 90 Days You are not Satisfied with the w/c Dr., You can change to a Dr, of Your Choice, as long as they are in the Field Needed. You may want to Double check with Your Attorney on what they Meant!!Wink
they will pay if the judge of the comp court says so; you'll probably have to wait until after you have a hearing.

I have an hearing coming up what happens then.
the hearing and work comp rules are different in each state. what goes on depends on your state. without knowing your state we can only generalize.
since the primary dispute is whether your injury and disability are work related you'll probably have to testify as to what happened and what kind of treatment you've received.
