A very good morning to all Big Grin

I'm trying to do a little research for a client. She lives in Louisiana and was seriously injured on the job a few years ago. The injury was serious enough that she had a couple of grafts and implants and what-not, and is still doing phys. rehab.

So here's the question: She came to me for an affordable walk-in hydrotherapy tub and is wanting to know about the possibility of approaching W/C for assistance with the purchase. (Affordable as it may be in a relative sense... it still ain't cheap Tongue )

Thx for your help.
If your friend has an attorney, This would be something he should be asked. It is also possable that a tub could be rented for the time needed. WC is the one your friend will need to deal with.. Sorry I could not be of more help.
Here is what is needed first. Your friend needs to have her treating Doctor write a Script for the walk-in hydrotherapy tub. The down fall is, her Work Comp Insurance may decide to rent it, or send her to place for that type therapy. The insurance doesn't always come staight out and buy these things. It's ashame they don't, but when it comes to cost affectiveness their right their.
it's possible depending on the alternatives and the length of time it'll be needed.
If there is an estimate as to what they'd have to pay at an outside facility they might be persuaded to contribute a reduced amount toward a purchase.
I would agree with Badboy. I had to have a dr. order for the Tens unit that the IC bought for me. It was 800.00 for it and if it was not a script from my doctor, then I would not of received it. It was also much cheaper for the IC to buy it for me than to have me rent one.

So, it all comes down to the doctor i would think.
