I just settled with WC after a long 3 year fight, I still have problems with my back but am finally out of the WC system. I am (I Think) the oldest here on the forum. I have retired and if any further problems will use my Medicare and private ins.
I stick around to offer any help that I can. and have met the greatest bunch of people here.
Hi all... I call myself, Red..and I have been with this group for a little over a year now. I have not been through the W/C system, but have watched as my husband struggled with pain untreated, co workers forgetting about him, a company forgetting about him, treated by a claims adjustor as a fraud, and then denied before he even had any treatment for his injury. He has recently settled his case, and choose not to fight this system anymore. I disagreed but he just didn't want to deal with it anymore after 2 1/2 years.

I as you will see am the LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNnGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG writer of the group... as their are a few others. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclorosis MS, when I was living in Okinawa Japan severing in the US Navy... loved my life...and now I am totally retired. I am the mother of 3 children who are all old...hehehe..I guess that makes me really old, and my kids all have 4 grand-daughters for me, and a fifth is due in a 3 weeks...and its a boy... yeah....

I love this group of people as you will also... so to all of you newbies, stick around, laugh, play, disagree, and enjoy this online family of the most caring people you will ever truly know...welcome...love Red
Hi, I'm Admin. I'm the Sheriff in these parts. I pick on Jayne. Don't worry, once you get to know her you'll pick on her too. Welcome to the forum, where you will find a caring and ecclectic group. They've "been there, done that", and they aren't shy about helping others. Look around, make yourself at home. The rules are simple, and actually rarely broken, so have fun here. It is a great place to learn and grow.

Great thread Jayne, and yes, I do read everyones "siggys", but I only worry about yours!

Hi and welcome everyone Smile I am monster (named myself after my ex BF's pitbull, LOL). I have cervical, low back, left knee and hip injuries. Please don't ask what's going on with my case as I haven't got a clue, lol...that's not funny but at this point it is. I am still fighting it though and trying to get my SSD but no luck with anything so far. I have two kids, a son who is 26 and a daughter who is 24. They have given me 3 beautiful grand children one of which I will finally get to meet next month.

Hope you will all like it here. We are family and you are now family as well. Welcome to you all Smile
Hi all, I'm Vickinat. I'm a divorced mother of 1 grown daughter who has given me 3 beautiful grandbabies, and has another due in Sept.

I was injured at work in the lower back and hip 1&1/2 years ago. I was leaving my Pain Management Drs. appointment almost 1 year later, and was T-boned in a car accident, totalling my car and making my original injuries worse and adding additional ones. I had a 2 level cervical fusion, 6 weeks ago. I have been told that with the damage done to my lower back that it can't be fixed, but that I must remain in PM and using meds. to control the pain.

I'm still dealing with the W/C and have had 2 hearings so far with another coming up next month. My TPD was suspended back last July and so was my authorization for the payment of my meds.

I have kept my sanity because of the great people here on this forum, I'm proud to have them as my forum family. I hope y'all enjoy the wisdom of the members and join into our discussions. Welcome to our forum.
