I was wondering if anyone would knew what I should do or what rights I have because I have reinjured my back again at work and I have decided to go get another job. This is the same place I injured it before. Now my problem is that I'm looking for a new job and was wondering how this works with work. comp. Will the work comp follow through with me if I decide to leave this place and go somewhere else or am I out of luck?
If anyone would know or maybe put me in the right direction that would be great.
I live in Minnesota
Thanks
yes. you can still file a new claim. It's your employers insurance and it doesn't change just because you change jobs.
Thank you for your response. Is there a place were this is stated, so if the company I work for now trys to come back on me and say that they dont have to do this, I will be prepared. I have a job interview on Thursday so Im trying to get everything together and prepared. Im just soo afraid with the other company knowing that my back is problematic and for them to think that they would have to deal with this-money wise.
Thank you
jamie

no there is no place that says your employers insurance stays the same when a worker changes jobs.
There is a place that says you can file a claim against a prior employer
