Hi all, since I was reading the past thread on survailances, I was wondering if people would share the different types of tricks that have been used on them, during a survailance. I read a post earlier about someone droppin a 20 dollar bill in front of a person, to see if they would pick it up. I'd be interested in any other stories. I am assuming they use survailances when it gets time for settlements etc. Would that be an accurate assumption?

Knowing the dirty tricks they play I would assume that if they get any evidence that someone is not injured they will present it right away so that they can close the case
most of the time it is stupid things they will take hours of pictures and give the judge about 90 seconds of it that is where a lawyer comes in cuz they have to release the whole tape to your lawyer......And because we are scared spitless of anyone out of the norm anything strange we blame on PI's......if we are following our Docs orders we are fine...if we see a stranger call the police or a trusted neighbor....I had a friend who would go out and copy licence numbers of people who came into her neighbor hood and turn em in.....anyone sitting in a car for longer than 3 or 4 min would go into her log......she did this to stop drug dealing in her neighborhood and it worked....
I had a nasty experience. After being followed for months (almost every day) my attorney was shown a tape of "me". Some was me doing nothing but mixed in was a tape of my next door neighbor doing yard work. Because the video was grainy in nature my attorney was convinced it was all me and gave me some bad advice. Later when I got to see the video and identified the bogus part, it was too late.
People tend to believe what they think they have seen with their own eyes and it is difficult to correct. It is not unthinkable that pictures of you doing nothing wrong can be useful in making a similar false video tape which can be used to falsely damage your credibility even if you have done nothing. I understand that an attorney can demand any video evidence and while they don't have to give it to you, if they don't they can't use it later.
I can only say that the idea that if you don't do anything wrong you'll be fine wasn't true in my experience.
i had them sit across from my house every day waiting for me to get off work and then to see if I was carrying groceries in. Also had them follow me over to my uncles house when we had summer cook outs, I just walked out and said Hi to them - they knew they were busted.
The most recent before court was when they had the chief of police looking to see what I was doing. That was interesting, haven't seen him around our neighborhood since the court date ....... lol

. But I have to say, just out of habbit, if someone in front of me dropped even a dollar bill, I'd probably pick it up and give it to them. I guess I should stop being polite for a while, huh.
