Thought I'd share....

Below is a link to a series of articles by california applicant's atty Robert Havens. They are written from an attorney's prespective in an easily understood "non-legalese" style that may help those with california cases.
It is a bit dated (2004) and there has been a good deal of caselaw coming out of recent reforms but much of it is still relevant.
I believe the articles on deposition, fraud & third party apply to most cases even outside of california and are very informative. The other topics strictly apply to the california system and should not be taken as advice in other state jurisdictions.
enjoy.

A Brief Description of Workers Compensation
Fraud
What Benefits are Available?
What is a Primary Treating Doctor?
What is a Deposition?
What is "Permanent & Stationary"?
Vocational Rehabilitation
What is a Rogers Waiver?
Workers Compensation Settlements
What is a Mandatory Settlement Conference?
What Happens at a Workers Compensation Trial?
What is a "Third Party"?
Apportionment Outline
Apportionment Considerations
