I am scheduled for an IME next week as the judge is sending me to a pain management doctor to determine if the wc injury of my knees aggravated, accelerated or intensified the pre-existing condition of my knees.

I need bilateral total knee replacements and was told this while still recieving treatment from the wc doctor.

My original injury resulted in meniscus surgery of both knees and other injuries of the left knee.

Previous to the injury I had not recieved treatment for my knees nor did I know I had DJD.

My question is will I also recieve a rating by this doctor?

Thank you,

only if you are MMI
Okay another question.

I had meniscus surgery of the left knee with a 10% and 5% rating of the right knee.

Once I have the total knee replacements and reach MMI and recieve a rating, how will the final rating be done and are the two rating combined or is it the rating after the replacements the final rating?

Generally if your permanent restrictions change and you are within the time limits the new rating will replace the prior.
Thank you 1171, that answers my question.
