We are starting a new business in the state of Florida. We will basically be a staffing service that provides specialized professionals for large corporations for temporary or permanent placement. Our fist customer is in Houston Texas. We will be providing Software programmers for this company. We cannot find any carriers that will write a Workers Compensation policy for us because we are a Florida Corporation that needs Workers Compensation in Texas. Florida carriers will not or cannot write in texas and texas carriers will not or cannot write a policy for an out of state company. I know there must be an answer to this because many companies have employees in multiple states. Please help us. What can we do? Sad
There is a section on this website where you can submit a request for an insurance quote. You might want to give it a try. It does have an area to request coverage for more than one state. Here's the link: http://www.workerscompensation.com/insur...s_info.php
Thanks Kate. I found that section after I had posted the question and submitted a request for a quote. I haven't heard anything back yet. I appreciate your help.
