Tomorrow I will have my second epidural.

There was some concern of having a second epidural due to previous injections in my hand and knee and I have had one MRI with contrast and one CT Scan with contrast.

My family doctor reviewed my medical records and said enough time has passed since these test were done and I will be okay.

My first epidural was the end of August and after two weeks I saw an improvement with the leg/nerve pain I had been having.

Last week the leg/nerve pain came back and I now have problems with picking-up the heel of my foot.

Wednesday Morning
My daughter will have an x-ray taken of her knee and then will see the doctor. She was thrown when ridding her horse.

Wednesday Afternoon
My son will have a sleep deprived EEG with sedation. For a little guy with autism an EEG is a very scary ordeal. This procedure will be done in a different town, about 45 miles away from home.

Thursday Morning
I go to the hospital for an X-ray for my hip and also have an eye appointment.

When posting on Limbo's thread about pulling from our inner strength on trying day, well I believe I will be pulling from my inner strength all week.
Hi Bummer...I think you are right. You are going to have a very trying week. My prayers are going with you and your entire family. Best wishes. Keep us updated as you have time, but first as always take care of YOU and YOURS... Love Red

Bummer, I am sorry you are going to have such a crazy week. I hope and pray that everyone will get good news! I'll be thinking of you and your family.
Dear Bummer
Hope all turns out well for all your family, remember to rest when you can. I'll put in a prayer for you to have the strength to go thru all of this and not get overwhelmed.

Take care
Vickie
I had the epidural this morning and things went much better then the first epidural. First time the doctor hit a nerve, ouch!
This time the doctor doing the procedure knew exactly where to insert the needle and not near as much pain with this procedure.

Right now I am numb in places I didn't know I could be numb, told this will be temporary. I am scheduled for a third epidural in two weeks.

I am going to get some rest while I can as I have to keep my son up until midnight and up again at 5:30 a.m. due to having a sleep deprived EEG tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your words of encourgment.
I wanted to give an update on my busy week.

My son had his EEG today and no seizures during the test!

He will be kept on seizure meds because he has had recent seizures

and the doctor is addressing his headaches by a change of diet.

My daughter starts physical therapy next week for her knee and is to

wear a brace in her waking hours. She has tendonitis, chrondramalacia

and a third diagnosis of her knee that I didn't get.

Tomorrow I have an eye appointment and have my hip x-ray.

And Friday is my day to volunteer for United Way.
Bummer.....Sending you some second wind. You know the kind we say. " I just got my second wind." I didn't need mine this week....so thought I would send it your way. You have been one very busy lady. Sure hope you get to slow down next week. You are going to drive yourself so down...we are going to have to send a tow truck to pick up back up....Now please remember to take some Mom time...you have to do that once in a while...we Moms all know that. Smile
