KSgirl and Tuffy....I was also raised eating Fried green tomatos....my poor hubby the first time I told him I was going to fry them...his eyes about popped out of his head...but he loves them now.
Jayne...your recipe sounds wonderful too. No place to hang the plants....but I would be doing it...if I thought I could have fresh tomatos....longer into the year....just hate the thought of having to buy those nasty things in the store.
There is no way in this world I could eat fried Green Tomatoes after watching the movie.
AQA...you don't like the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. I use to teach an Anger Management Class using that movie as part of the learning.... I have seen that movie so many times I can almost repeat it completely, but that did not stop me from wanting a good Fried Green Tomatoe... Red
Okay winners....hubby helped me get all my candle making stuff out. Got all the jars cleaned and put the wicks in them. Will start melting that wax tomorrow. Then the fun part...coloring them ....and adding the scents. Sure wish you all could smell my house when that is happening. I know I have to have the best smelling house in the whole town when I doing that part. Everyone say a little prayer that they will set up nice and pretty.
Well I better be off to bed...so I can try to function to make them.
Should smell my house in the last few days....my hubby and I have made some of those winners candles....Maple Toddy...Ocean breeze...Clean Cotton...French Vanilla...Christmas Tree...Banana Nut Bread..Love Spell...creme Brullee.
hmmmmmm yummy....I've never had fried green tomatoes? do you put sometype of breading on them or what do you do?...I love breaded cauliflower, and zuccini mushrooms etc....is it a taste you have to aquire? let me know...
spring ....I'm sure your candles will turn out perfect, especially after all the love and care you and hubby have put into it....it smells delicious...I can just imagine it.....I think I'm gonna use the scent oils to make sacets or flax velvet healing pads like bags suggested, or the rice bags....
here I like to use a green tomato that is just starting to ripen....I slice in 1/2 thick slices dip in milk and egg mixture and then flour seasoned to your liking I use season all pepper and garlic salt...I also like to use the mexican cornbread mix instead of flour sometimes.....eat hot be careful they are habit forming
