More than likely the haze in my left eye will be permanent. So now we're just scrambling to see how well I will ever see with this left eye.

The corneal specialist stated that if the surgeon had seen me within 24 hours after the slothing had started the outcome probably would of been better. By the time I saw the other doctor the damage was already done. The eye has almost healed but I have some serious new abrasions on the cornea that weren't there before.

I can't see with my glasses out of my left eye or without them. The surgery should of left me with better eye sight in that eye. Instead it's considerably worse. Vision is unchanged 20/60 distance, 20/100 up close and that's with my glasses on. Without glasses 20/85 distance 20/160 close up.

So this is what we will attempt. A trial run on lenses. I go to my regular eye doctor on Monday afternoon, she'll fit me with lenses and I'll see if I can see reasonably well out of them. It's a long shot. If it doesn't work or if the vision gets worse then we'll discuss another surgery. But the eye would have to continue to heal more, it would have to be atleast 4 months before any other surgery could help, to even consider doing another surgery.

Sometimes I can hardly see at all, vision is so off that I have trouble even reading large print, like a $20. bill. The severe glare problem has gotten better for the most part. It depends upon the day. Yesterday was a bit hard but nothing like it was before surgery.

My feelings on all of this. Oh well, crap, life goes on. Do what we can...pray about the rest. Sometimes it just sucks to be me but that's life. Not going to loose any sleep over it, not worth it.

I'm really sorry to hear this and I hope a solution will be found. I have to say you are much stronger than I am. If my vision goes as bad as yours I'm gonna freak out. Good luck and I hope you get some good news soon.
