I believe everyone know my history, injured 2005, since that date I've had 3 knee surgeries, one being a TKR.

Neck surgery 2011, treatment for the lumbar is still happening. 2 hand surgeries with a 3rd one scheduled in July and the 4th October scheduled for of this year.

This thread s about the left knee, since the meniscus surgery in 2006 I've had problems with that knee, the TKR was 2008.
To date the knee remains swollen, and weak. The pain with this knee remains the same since 2009, about a 6/7 on the pain scale.

Lately the appearance of the knee has changed with the outerside of the knee having a red appearance, and the lower part of the leg a purple color.

Not for sure what is going on?
IDK, you would think the redness is infection, but the purple color never had that unles its lack of blood flow....
I've had problems with that knee since day one, starting with the scar tissue.

Sometimes that knee has a shine to the skin along with the redness.

I am not due to see the knee surgeon till next year just trying to figure out it I need to give their office a call or let this go. I have a whole $6,000.00 with the set-aside to spend on this knee.
I hear ya, $6,000 dont last long in our world... Does it feel warm to the touch...? If it were me I would at least make an apoinment and take it from there..
Bummer,

I think I've stated this before, the knee needs to be evaluated for infection.
The knee is not warm to touch.

I have an appointment with the primary tomorrow and will ask him about infection.

I feel what I have is a circulation issue with that leg, not pretty to look at.
