THEN DOCTORS STARTED testing for transplant with 13 tubes of blood, appointments today , 16, 21, and 28 th for testing and work up. After all the testing is done and everything is cleared then it is a matter of getting a KIdney.
Good news!

My brother-in-law I have spoken of in the past is now on the transplant list with my nephew being the donor. Surgery is scheduled the first week of March.
Something for us to start praying about.

Freedom from dialysis, I pray for that soon for you my friend. You and Bummer's brother-in-law.
Testing done 10 more tubes of blood and more test completed and now on list waiting on kidney.
Great news RNvic!

I am very happy for you!

My sister's transplant (liver) was done at the Lied Transplant Center. She lived in a camper across from the hospital for several months before the transplant July 6, 2006.

She went home for July 4th weekend to Kansas and was shopping at the local Wal Mart RX when her husband received a phone call from the transplant center. They had a liver for her and she had 5 hours to get to the transplant center.
By the time she returned home my sisters had their bags packed and ready for them. My niece worked at the sheriff department and made the phone calls to law enforcement along the route they would trvel. She gave them the description on the vehicle and let them know the reason for traveling thru their county so they would not be pulled over. They made to the transplant center in about 4 1/2 hrs.

My brother-in-law is scheduled to receive his kidney next month. The live donor, (step-son) we know is a match but is still going thru required testing before the transplant can be done.
Sorry I didn't notice this post sooner. This is really good news and I will be praying they find a kidney soon.
rnvic...I am so happy to hear of this... ly Red
