Well, I just signed my settlement papers today. Attorney said check will be here in about 10 days WOOHOO! So glad that part is over!Tongue

Now we are having issues with the permanent job offer. Employer first said they would not be keeping me with my restrictions, then they just gave me an offer letter but my wages are less than 60% of what I am making now and at time of injury. The job itself is a demotion and the job description clearly violates my restrictions Ughhh. I'm so confused, stressed, overwhelmed and just exhausted with all of this!

Thanks all for listening, have a great night!
you can still reconsider the settlement.

Does that mean refuse the settlement? Will that help the situation with my job?
i'm just sayin' that maybe the settlement was acceptable because you felt you still had your regular paying job.
and together you were ok with it
but now that the job is in jeopardy or not going to happen, is the settlement still acceptable?

Thank you...my settlement is only about half a years salary, was planning on investing it but now may have to live on it till I can find a new job. My attorney said it is not negotiable (the $ amount). He says the only thing negotiable is VR if that is where I end up in all of this and choose to cash it out.

What would happen if I don't accept the settlement now?
if there is a dispute on the amount of long term disability and treatment the judge would have to make a decision after a hearing.

Thank you 1171! I will discuss with my attorney on Monday.
