Hi all,
Just to refresh your memories, I have been in voc rehab since October. I was just wondering if any of the rest of you have experienced what I am. My voc rehab consists of 2+ hours of B*** S***ing about anything & everything over coffee, and 3 minutes of job seach dicussion at the end! Wonder what my rehab person is paid weekly??!!! Whatever it is....it's too much!

Well, then I hope your writing all this down, times, place, what took place, times it took place, and then when business took place and time. Then I would ask the person, if we can get around all the he-haw stuff, and get to business. I don't know where your meeting this person, but hopefully it's not in your home.
Contact the carrier or adjuster and followup with a written complaint.
Hi Lilly.....I think you have recieved some very good advice. One of the things that has worked for my husband is that I started a run report or a listing of date, time, vehicle (communication route by phone in person etc.), purpse of contact, name, affliation, and discussion contents. I have this all in a easily carried note book that my husband takes to the doctors, lawyers, IC, etc. and sets by the phone when at home. This has worked very well for doing what Bad Boy is talking about. Also, it is organized and follows a time frame well. In the beginning my husband thought it was too much work and trouble. Now, however, he is glad that it is there and easily accessible. I also attached folders for company reports, medical reports, lawyer communication reports etc. You may have a completely different way to document information. The important thing is that you document everything and have it organized so it is easily accessible when it is needed. Good luck.
Red, this is so very true. I myself, have a 6.0 foot book shelf, next to my desk. It has 5 shelves in it. Each one being full, almost to the max. Everything, in Binders, not folders. Each one by year, and each one by type, meaning surgery, 1 per doctor, 1 for FCE's, 1 for the Labor Board, 1 for the EEOC, I from my injury dates and reports, with witness reports. 1 for all my Attorney information, and 1 for IME's. Then their in Date format, early dates at the back, leading to up-dates forward. I've used Voice activated tape records, to remember every word ever said, so I could write up my daily report. I've kept the tapes for back-up. I have scaned everything, and also copied to CD's. My back-up, is great. I care my Medical records in each Car, or SUV, in case of an emergency. Including Medication list.
Wow...and I thought that I was pretty organized. Bad Boy, you have organization down. I bet it has come in handy on more than one occassion, I know our system has. Thanks for the insight. Smiling..
Like Red, And I thought I was organized. Good Job Bad Boy!

Hi... YIKES!
It [b]IS in my home...is this a problem? As I cannot use my arm, she can plainly see how difficult it is for me to do everyday tasks one handed. It's personally Exasperating. I have been keeping track of the time spent during the meetings...when VR arrives and leaves & how much time is actually spent discussing the job search and how much is chit-chat....are you saying I should be doing more?
My lawyer has warned me not to trust her...and I do not. Even though she is nice to me, I realize she works for WC, and I don't elaborate on anything to allow her to gather ammunition for them. She always asks about any health issues....and I just tell her it's unchanged....& DO NOT give her any info on my other medical problems, as I feel she's "fishing".
Do you hire out your fabulous organizational skills? My house is a mess!
Take care, Lilly

All, I can say is this. No one comes in my home, that is Work Comp related. Even when I had my surgeries, I had my daughter drive me to the meeting place, and used my Cell Phone to call her when to pick me up. Cell Phones have Camera's these days too? They don't need to see my house, let alone the inside. I have my records, and 4 computers also in plain view, with a Fax machine on top of that. I'm not making coffee for them, and their not going to sit in any of my chairs.
maybe since she does nothing and gets paid for it suggest to your IC YOU do her job and run around having coffee and getting paid this would elimanate the need to pay her and you.....and save them money.......in two hrs this witch is collecting enough information to sink you I suggest you tape your next meeting to prove to the IC she is not doing her job...no need to tell her it wont be used in court
