how do you get rid of it......Had surgery on my foot early this month and they changed my meds a bit for the first week and my popcorn consuption was off....now I find myself well full of it....:any help out there
fiber lots of fiber that works for me.
Firstly is diet. A diet with enough fiber (20 to 35 grams each day) helps the body form soft, bulky stool. A doctor or dietitian can help plan an appropriate diet. High-fiber foods include beans, whole grain bread, brown rice and bran cereals, fresh fruits, and vegetables such as asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and carrots. For people prone to constipation, limiting foods that have little or no fiber, such as ice cream, cheese, meat, and processed foods, is also important.
Drinking water is one of the best methods for constipation relief. Making sure you drink enough water and other liquids, such as fruit and vegetable juices and clear soups which may help some people with constipation. Fluids make bowel movements softer and easier to pass. Besides you should pay attention to limit your consumption of alcoholic and caffeinated beverages such as coffee and cola drinks
I know all that Blake...it was a momentary lapse of judgement.....a foot surgery different meds and not following my own diet of fiber and liquid.......foot surgery is unlike any other I have ever had.....pain is a 20 on a 1-10 scale.....you dont drink any more than you have to cuz you dont want to get up to pee any more than you have too....now I am paying that price......however good news to report.....I am now poo free and back to normal or as normal as I can be
When I have pain levels that are through the roof I take more narcs and it can be 3 to days until I can down the dosages.. Which slows down the plumbing and feels like I;m going to explode..... And MIRALAX has been my best friend, I take a pouch and mix it with water in the morning and sometimes before bedtime and if not the next day the plumbing starts working again. I take it for about 5 days then back to normal.....Well back to normal being on the meds anyways....lol. I have been told to try hot cider, but I like coffee and that keeps it flowing in between taking miralax.
I hate cold weather add foot surgery and you got plumbing problems

Jayne, I can relate to the cold weather and the plumbing. But never foot surgery and if a sprained ankle compares you have my deepest sympathy.....
We are expected to get rain tomorow and continue till friday night with highs reaching near 40.. Then sat were back to normal temps for jan a high of 5.
Same here. Cold weather sucks, take more pain meds = backed up. Would be okay if it was a once or twice a year problem but it's not! People who have never been thru a long period with a painful injury just don't understand, let alone a now life long problem. What did we ever do wrong to deserve all this? And your employer just wants to throw as little amount of money at you to just shut up and go away
yeah that blizzard with 2 ft we just got killed me. i could feel the storm coming 2 days before it was here. iam my own weatherman as many of you im sure are. winter sucks sucks when you can feel the cold inside you on the metal in your body. come on summer

You are so correct......we had a white christmas now let it melt...
Northern wi values and counts on the winter tourism, snowmobiling is a very big help in our economy and infact 20 miles north holds the worlds championship snowmobile races. And last year our town held our first world champion ice fishing contest.. It was quite interesting to watch people from russia and other countries compete....... Before my injury you could find me almost every day out ice fishing.. Now I cant stand being on the ice , feels like the hardware is frosting up....
