My brother was recently injured at work and his boss (which happens to be our cousin) is threatening to fire him. My brother and several other employees also have information that should be reported to OSHA, but as this employer is family, my brother is reluctant to do so afraid that his boss will become more hostile to him and the other employees.

Can his boss fire him for getting hurt? Should he report his employer regardless? Another question is, if he does report him, will Osha give him warning of a visit or just show up? This man seriously is a piece of work, and no doubt with any warning that he's being visited will change everything to make it look like it was my brothers fault when in fact it really was the boss' doing. What do we do?
it's discriminatory if fired for filing a claim.
doesn't have to make work or hold a job unless it is fmla covered employment.
