Traditional safety committees involve a small number of employees and are often managed by the individual responsible for the facility safety and health system. The problem is that the success of the committee, and thus the system success, is predicated by the authority given to the committee and its leadership which in most cases is low to nonexistent. The bottom line is that employee safety will be as good as management wants it to be or as poor as management will allow it to be. And although most managers care for the health and well being of their workers, they usually do not understand the proper way to manage the safety system.

This teleconference will describe how to effectively manage the employee safety and health system. With proper installation and implementation of the system described in this teleconference, you will see a 40 to 50 percent reduction in injuries within the first year of implementation. You will learn the importance of managing safety and health with the same emphasis that we manage all other aspects of the business and how to achieve this effort. As an added benefit, you will learn how to maximize OSHA compliance.
