ABA 2017 Workers' Comp Midwinter Seminar and Conference Offers Broad Educational Platform

Phoenix, AZ (WorkersCompensation.com) - The American Bar Association has announced the schedule for their 2017 Workers’ Compensation Midwinter Seminar and Conference, co-sponsored by the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section and the Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association. It will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on March 16th through March 18th, at the Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort.
Topics for the seminar kick off with a Keynote Speech by Bob Wilson, President & CEO of WorkersCompensation.com. Wilson will discuss the “National Conversation” and critical issues currently affecting the system. His talk will be followed by a physician’s take on Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Concussion Syndrome and Malingering. A presentation on the constitutional and practical implications impacting limitation on attorney fees will follow, as well as an OSHA update. Federalization of Workers’ Compensation will be discussed on Friday, followed by a presentation on Objective Diagnostic Testing by a physician panel. Breakout sessions on Defending Undocumented Worker Claims, and Developments in Medical and Recreational Marijuana will begin the day on Saturday.
New this year is the Inaugural College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyer’s symposium on Saturday morning the 18th. This unique program will offer the opportunity to learn from and network with judiciary, industry experts, medical professionals, and defense and plaintiff attorneys.
