This payment system became effective on October 1, 2006. To facilitate the change to the new payment systems, the Commission offered to price any hospital inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory surgery center bill at no charge to insurance carriers, self-insured funds or self-insured employers. Effective August 1, 2009, the Commission will no longer accept these bills for re-pricing. The Commission will continue to conduct administrative reviews for bill disputes pursuant to Regulation 67-1305, the Medical Services Provider Manual, and the Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center Payment Manual.
