AZ Administrative and SFA Rates For CY 2010

Phoenix, AZ (CompNewsNetwork) - At the Commission's public meeting held on August 27, 2009, the Commission set the administrative and special fund assessment rates for calendar year (CY) 2010. The Commission approved a decrease in the administrative fund rate from 3.0% (the current rate for CY 2009) to 2.65%. The Commission also approved continuation of the 1.5% special fund assessment under A.R.S. § 23-1065 and reinstituted the special fund assessments under A.R.S. § 23-1065(F)(apportionment claims) and A.R.S. § 23-966(D)(insolvent carrier/employer claims) for a total special fund assessment rate of 2.5% (compared to the 1.5% for CY 2009).

As a result of the foregoing, the overall assessment rate is increased from 4.5% (the current rate for CY 2009) to 5.15% for CY 2010.
