Attorney General Pruitt Charges Oklahoma City Man with Insurance Fraud

Oklahoma City, OK (WorkersCompensation.com) - Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Fraud Unit has filed three charges against an Oklahoma City man for allegedly submitting multiple false insurance claims.

According to the charges filed in Oklahoma County District Court, Glen D. King, 21, submitted multiple claims on personal property stolen from his home. He alleged that the same items were stolen on four different occasions between December 2010 and June 2011.

During an investigation that included subpoenas from the Oklahoma Multicounty Grand Jury, investigators from the AG’s Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Fraud Unit found that King had given identical receipts for the same stolen items to three insurance companies.

State prosecutors believe King was paid more than $10,000 in claims to which he was not entitled.

The Attorney General’s Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Fraud Unit is the only Oklahoma law enforcement agency dedicated to the investigation and prosecution of workers’ compensation fraud. The Unit also helps raise public awareness of fraud in Oklahoma.
