California Division Of Workers' Compensation Issues Request For Proposals To Conduct Utilization Review Investigations

Oakland, CA (CompNewsNetwork) - The California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) seeks to contract with an independent medical organization to assist the division in conducting investigations of utilization review organizations for compliance with the utilization review laws and regulations. The selected contractor must have prior experience investigating or auditing medical records, including requests for authorization for medical treatment and services, and responses to such requests.

A request for proposals for Workers’ Compensation Utilization Review Investigations (DIR/DWC RFP #07-002) has been posted at http://www.cscr.dgs.ca.gov/cscr/. Potential bidders may click on the link that says “View By Contract Number Or Agency,” then choose agency and use the drop-down menu to scroll to Department of Industrial Relations.
