Mary Miller Sr Claims Representative
Mary
Miller has been involved in the Workers Compensation Industry since 1986. She has worked for National and Regional
Insurance Carriers, National Third Party Administrators and Self Funded Workers'
Compensation Pools. She is a member of
the Indiana Workers Compensation Institute where she served as its Membership
Director from 1993 to 1998. She is also
a member of the Blue Goose. She was
nominated in 1995 as the Indiana Claims Adjuster of the Year. Mary has developed and participated in
several seminars to various insurance and employer groups. Her main “soap box” topic is the importance
of returning injured employees to work. Her unpaid part-time job is chairing
the IWCI Golf Outing, which has raised over $30000 in scholarships over the
past 13 years. Some of her “favorite” workers compensation situations are calls
from claimants asking “Where’s my check” or “It’s Monday and my check is not
here—it always comes on Mondays” or from employers who want claims denied
“Because we don’t like that employee”.
After all these years, Mary has been yelled at for saying “Yes” as much
as she has been for saying “No”.
